Airports

If your attendance at STAM 2024 requires air travel, we strongly recommend that you choose to arrive and depart from Dulles International (Dulles) Airport. Although there are three major airports that service the Washington, D.C., area, Dulles Airport is the closest to the Hyatt Regency Reston; it is only 6 miles away. Reagan Washington National (National) Airport is 24 miles from the Hyatt Regency Reston, and Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International (BWI) Airport is 53 miles from the Hyatt Regency. Metrorail (Metro) service is available from both Dulles and National Airports to the Reston Town Center on Metro’s Silver Line. A map of the Metro system can be viewed on this Metro webpage.

From Dulles Airport to the Hotel

A taxicab from Dulles Airport is estimated to take 11 minutes and to cost between $23 and $50, depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. An Uber or other ride service is estimated to take 11 minutes and to cost between $20 and $30, depending on the time of day, traffic conditions, and the level of car service you select.

As noted above, Metro service is available from Dulles Airport to Reston Town Center on Metro’s Silver Line. From Dulles Airport, travel three stops along the Silver Line to the Reston Town Center Metro station, exit the Metro station, and take the linkRTC shuttle to the Hyatt Regency. From National Airport to the Hotel

A taxicab from National Airport is estimated to take 35 minutes and to cost between $55 and $78, depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. An Uber or other ride service is estimated to take 35 minutes and to cost between $38 and $60, depending on the time of day, traffic conditions, and the level of car service you select.

As noted above, Metro service is available from National Airport to the Reston Town Center on Metro’s Silver Line. From National Airport, take the Blue Line to the Rosslyn Metro station; transfer to the Silver Line, taking it to the Reston Town Center Metro station; exit the Metro station; and take the linkRTC shuttle to the Hyatt Regency. From BWI Airport to the Hotel

A taxicab from BWI Airport is estimated to take 63 minutes and to cost between $118 and $130, depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. An Uber or other ride service is estimated to take 63 minutes and to cost between $120 and $200, depending on the time of day, traffic conditions, and the level of car service you select. Metro is not available from BWI Airport.

Trains

Reston, Virginia, is serviced by the Northeast Regional Amtrak train, which runs several routes daily. The nearest Amtrak rail stop to the Hyatt Regency in the Reston Town Center is in Burke, Virginia, which is approximately 18 miles from the hotel.

• From New York, New York, to Burke, Virginia, the Northeast Regional train can take from 4 to 8 hours, depending on the train schedule you select.
• From Richmond to Burke, Virginia, the Northeast Regional train can take from 5 to 15 hours, depending on the train schedule you select.

A taxicab from the Burke, Virginia, Amtrak station is estimated to take 30 minutes and to cost between $60 and $75, depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. An Uber or other ride service is estimated to take 30 minutes and to cost between $30 and $45, depending on the time of day, traffic conditions, and the level of car service you select.

Ground Transportation

Metro Service (Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority)

The Metro station closest to the Hyatt Regency Reston is the Reston Town Center station, which is located on the Silver Line. A map of the Metro system can be viewed on this Metro webpage. The Hyatt Regency is a ½ mile, or a 12 to 15-minute, walk from the Metro station.

Shuttle service is available to the Reston Town Center. The linkRTC shuttle runs every 15 minutes from the Reston Town Center Metro station to the Hyatt Regency.

Parking

Self-parking is available at the hotel for meeting attendees. STAM 2024 offers guests a 25% discount on overnight and daily parking. Overnight parking with the discount is $12.00 per day, and daily parking with the discount is $16.00 per day. The hotel does not offer valet parking.

Shuttle Service From the Reston Town Center Metro Station and Dulles Airport

There is no direct shuttle service between Dulles Airport and the Hyatt Regency. However, the linkRTC shuttle runs to the Reston Town Center every 15 minutes, with one stop at the Hyatt Regency Reston and one stop at the Reston Town Center Metro station (which is accessible via Metro from Dulles Airport). The linkRTC shuttle runs every 15 minutes, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday, with pickup and drop off stops at the Hyatt Regency and Reston Town Center Metro stop, in addition to a few other stops. Driving Directions

From Points North (Includes Tolls)

• Take I-95 south from New York to the New Jersey Turnpike, to Delaware, and into Maryland and then take Exit 27 to I-495 west.
• Take I-495 west to Exit 45A and merge onto Virginia Route 267 west (toward Reston).
• Travel on Virginia Route 267 west to Exit 12 to Virginia Route 602 (Reston Parkway).
• Turn right onto Reston Parkway toward the Reston Town Center, turn left onto Bluemont Way, and then turn right onto President’s Street.
• Proceed to the hotel on your right at 1800 Presidents Street.

From Points South (Includes Tolls)

• Take I-95 north from Richmond to Exit 25 to I-495 north.
• Take I-495 north to Exit 45A and merge onto Virginia Route 267 west (toward Reston).
• Travel on Virginia Route 267 west to Exit 12 to Virginia Route 602 (Reston Parkway).
• Turn right onto Reston Parkway toward the Reston Town Center, turn left onto Bluemont Way, and then turn right onto Presidents Street.
• Proceed to the hotel on your right at 1800 Presidents Street.

From Points West (Includes Tolls)

• Follow I-68 east to I-70 east to I-340 east/US Route 15 south into Virginia.
• Once in Virginia, use the right lane to take Virginia Route 267 east (toward Dulles Airport/Washington) and take Exit 12 for Virginia Route 602 (Reston Parkway).
• Turn right onto Reston Parkway toward the Reston Town Center, turn left onto Bluemont Way, and then turn right onto Presidents Street.
• Proceed to the hotel on your right at 1800 Presidents Street.
